Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks
My favourite red shades!
Create a signature look with my list of recommendations for the 5 creamiest, most high-pigment and most universally-flattering shades. I personally love Charlotte Tilbury’s lipsticks range as they have the most flattering red shades.
These lipsticks don’t cake in the creases, nor does it creep away from the lip line.
The bullet of these lipsticks has been engineered to perfectly follow the contours of the lips. These lipsticks leave your lips cashmere soft.
The big 5!
Iconic red lipstick for a perfect, full lips. The shade is remarkably vibrant and long-lasting.
It’s packed full of natural moisturisers, too, so will keep lips luscious and primed to perfection all night long.
Warm red lipstick with sheer finish. The shade is a statement, vibrant, true red and it applies creamy and smooth. The blend of waxes helps the formula glide over the contours of your lips.
Red Carpet Red
It's an essential red shade that is sophisticated, beautiful and timeless. Enriched with Lipstick Tree extract which protects lips and is a natural anti-oxidant, and Orchid Extract which soothes and hydrates for a soft, buildable cashmere finish. It has a blue undertone, so it is very flattering and makes your teeth look very white.
Inspired by the legendary Chinese actress Carina Lau, this is a pink-y red with slightly warm undertones, brighten the complexion immediately. This is a gorgeous matte lipstick.
Inspired by the bohemian British beauty, Laura Bailey, this colour is geranium red. The matte formula glides on with ease, keeping lips moisturised throughout the day, while the Lipstick Tree extracts help to protect your lips from UV damage.
This orange-red suits darker skin tones. It makes you feel sassy and confident, and the matte texture stays on all day.
Here are few tips on how to choose your best red shade for your big day!
The easiest way to pick the right colour for you by narrowing down the skin tone, the hair, and eye colour.
Roll up your sleeves up and look at the veins underside of your wrist. Are they purple, green, blue or olive? If they look more blue and purple, you likely have cool undertones. If the veins look blue-green, you’re neutral. The green and olive veins on your wrist means you have warm undertone.
Also your natural eye and hair colours can help figure out your colouring. Traditionally, cool people have eyes that are deep brown, black-brown, grey blue, dark blue or hazel. On the contrary, warm-toned women usually have golden brown, green, turquoise or hazel with gold or brown flecks eyes with strawberry blond, red, brown, or black hair. Neutral undertone typically has hair and eye colours that have a mix of warm and cool tones. Typical eye colours are mixed, such as blue-green eyes with hints of copper, or eyes that can go from a warm-green to a cool blue.
Do you look better in silveror gold? Personal preferences aside, cool undertones tend to be flattered by silver or platinum, those with warm undertones look better in gold-toned jewellery. Neutral skin tones look equally great in both.

Few tricks will help to maximise lipstick’s longevity:
Thin lips: choose the sheered finish and lighter red as it may make your lips appear smaller
Large lips: choose the darker and matt finished colours. It plays down the size and flatters and compliments also.
How to apply your red lipstick:
Exfoliate your lips with either a home-made lip scrub (1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 squirt of honey, 1 drop of vanilla) or Lush Lip Scrub (Honey, £5.95).
Use the matching lip liner to stop bleeding. Fill in with colour.
Blot down with tissue, then powder entire area (Kat Von D – ‘Lock-It’ setting powder £22)
Add another layer of lipstick, then repeat the process
Tips: Drink plenty of water in the morning of your wedding. Check you have no lipstick marks on your teeth.
Enjoy wearing your red lipstick!
